David Ganessingh has been living in Tampa, Florida since 1998 and Temple Terrace since 2001. He is married to Dr. Ann Babwah-Ganessingh and they have two daughters. One attends the University of South Florida and the other is in Hillsborough County middle school. David is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a major in accounting and has been working in accounting and tax for fifteen years, the last five years in public accounting. He currently works with a CPA firm based in Temple Terrace. Prior to entering secular employment David worked as the business administrator and Mission Director for 8 years at Gateway Christian Center, an Assemblies of God church in Tampa. During that time he completed the two year certified minister training with Berean School of the Bible, Assemblies of God.

David has been serving as a member on the Temple Terrace Board of Adjustments for the past five years. David and his wife wanted to give back to their community and so they started Rising Youths 4Him Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides weekend food backpacks to students in a Hillsborough County school. These are students who access the school’s free breakfast and lunch program. This has been a small pilot project for the last two years and the feedback has been very positive concerning the impact on the students. The program received recognition at the 2017 Volunteer Awards for Hillsborough County School District. In his spare time, David enjoys playing chess and engaging in his new hobby of amateur radio.
